Patroclus - Tarot Card

Within my tarot card project at university I chose to illustrate the Hanged Man card, which represents sacrifice, surrender, a pause or new beginnings. With these meanings in mind I chose to depict Achilles and Patroclus after Patroclus dressed in Achilles armour and went into battle and was killed by Hector. I believe this moment represents the card well as Patroclus knew that Hector was famed for his skill in battle and that Achilles was the only one who could have matched him meaning he effectively sacrificed himself for the war as a whole.
